United Utilities used contractor Waitings to install a 700mm diameter ‘as-fit’ solution for Prestwich Pumping Main, crossing the River Irwell. FT Pipeline Systems was required to fit a specific profile across the River Irwell – the second such scheme in recent months. Previously, FTPS supplied a twin 250mm main in the same vicinity.
