Price Increase Effective from 1st June 2021 – Water Treatment Division

Following on from our last notification, we have now received confirmation that the raw material prices for Protectaflex and PF Detect have indeed risen. Whilst we have been able to absorb some of the costs ourselves, unfortunately we will have to apply increases to some of our materials. Effective June 1st, the cost for RPVC hose will rise by 12% and the cost of LDPE hose (Vendhose) will rise by 7%. Existing prices will remain in effect for all stock orders placed before June 1st.

Due to the lead times on bespoke products, orders requiring manufacture will be charged at the new prices, effective immediately. If you have an order ready to place for your specially manufactured items please do so urgently and, if we have material already available, we may be able to hold your current price. However, this will have to be checked by our sales team and confirmed to you. We do not expect to be able to hold any prices on made-to-order items after May 1st and many will need to change immediately.

It is with regret we have to pass on these rises however, since last October there have been global shortages in the chemical market and increased demand in certain sectors, which is outstripping supply. This has now resulted in many materials being put on allocation or having limited availability. There are a variety of reasons being given by raw material suppliers but the result of this crisis is that there are an unusual number of Force Majeure notices in place, throughout the supply chain.
