Fittings for the SPA Project
Posted on Jul 24, 2023FT Pipeline Systems continues to enjoy a productive relationship with one of our long-term partners, Lortub, who produce coated and lined steel fittings. One of their specialty areas is the provision of the E Joint / socket pipe ends, which are compatible with the mill-produced straight lengths. Key to Lortub’s success is their knowledge and many years’ experience in producing the E Joint and socket, in conjunction with the original design made by Europipe in the 1990s.
The current order book involves the manufacture and supply of over 2000 fittings covering four different diameters and seven projects; Anglian Water’s SPA project (x2), Tees Strategic Main, and water diversions (x4) for Severn Trent Water in connection with HS2.
Quality control and detailed planning are paramount to success as manufacturing and delivering such a wide range of requirements over several months is crucial to the smooth execution of projects.
